Scotland

Scotland is 1 of the four nations of the UK and the third most popular destination for international companies entering the UK.

Major cities in Scotland include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Scotland also attracts more foreign investment than any part of the UK outside London, with 122 foreign investment projects in 2016.

  • grants for eligible investors supporting capital and salary costs
  • research grants for eligible investors, worth up to 100,000 GBP for feasibility studies and up to 600,000 GBP for research and development
  • help for small and medium enterprises in accessing finance
  • co-investment from the Scottish Investment Bank
  • support from Scottish Development International, helping you to identify opportunities, premises and to access funding (Scottish Development International 2017)

Investors in Scotland benefit from a strong skills and research base, including:
